DTP3 Immunization Coverage (WHO/UNICEF)

Comparison period

Unit: percent of the target infant cohort

Source: World Health Organization and UNICEF (WUENIC) [WHO.DTP3]

Measurement definition and metadata source

Publisher measure: Diphtheria tetanus toxoid and pertussis third-dose  (DTP3) immunization coverage among 1-year-olds (%) (WUENIC)

WHO/UNICEF WUENIC estimate of the percentage of the target infant cohort receiving three doses of diphtheria, tetanus toxoid and pertussis vaccine in the reference year. Administrative estimates use the surviving-infant target population; surveys examine children aged 12–23 months and vaccination history.

Publisher metadata, retrieved . That is when the definition was last checked, not when these figures were published.

Measurement basis: WHO/UNICEF estimates of national immunization coverage (WUENIC), based on country administrative reports, household surveys and contextual review.

Reference-period cadence: annual.

Source update cadence: annual. This does not establish a publication date for an individual reading.

  • DTP3 means three doses of diphtheria, tetanus toxoid and pertussis vaccine. Coverage concerns the target infant cohort; survey ages 12–23 months do not mean every dose was given at age one.
  • WHO/UNICEF estimates combine country reports, surveys and contextual review. Interpolation or carry-forward can be used when new empirical information is absent; an annual reference year does not prove a fresh observation.
  • No uncertainty endpoints or country-specific carry-forward flags are supplied in this capture. Missing intervals remain absent.
  • WHO/UNICEF cap coverage estimates at 99%. A supplied 99 remains an unqualified source estimate, not a less-than bound or a claim of measured certainty.

These are source-reported readings. A “<” sign means strictly below the stated number. Upper bounds remain visible in tables and downloads; point charts and statistics omit them. A common year can include a reported upper bound.

Same-year comparison · 2025

Every value is for 2025, the latest year before 2026 in this history range with a figure for every selected country, so the values compare directly. Figures for past years can still be revised.

Displayed values are rounded. Downloads retain stored numerical precision and identify missing readings.

The year is the one the source reports. Check the source definition and notes for what is measured; the date the data was retrieved is not the date the source published it.

Key indicators · latest available

Each country’s most recent figure, so the year can differ between countries and indicators. For a like-for-like comparison of one indicator in a single year, use the same-year comparison above. Figures marked “IMF projection” are forecasts that the IMF revises at each release.

One row per country, indicator and year, with raw values, source links and reuse notices. Empty values mean missing data.
