Economic Sentiment
The OECD Composite Leading Indicator (CLI), business confidence (BCI) and consumer confidence (CCI) for 53 economies. Each is amplitude-adjusted to a long-term average of 100: above 100 is above-trend, below 100 is below-trend. The CLI is built to anticipate turning points in economic activity by roughly six to nine months, so its level and momentum give each country a cycle-phase read. For EU economies the European Commission's Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) is shown alongside. A fully sourced, freely reusable alternative to the proprietary PMIs.
